Musawo Betty Care and Research Centre Empowers Students on the Impact of Early Sexual Activity

The interactive session aimed to empower learners to make informed decisions, protect their health, and focus on achieving their educational and life goals. Through open discussions, practical examples, and age - appropriete information, students were encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts in a safe and respectful environment.
During the session, MBCRC facilitators highlighted the physical, emotional, social and economic impacts of early sexual activity. Students learned about the increased risks of teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), school droupout, emotional stress, and the challenges that can affect their future aspirations.
The senior facilitator Musawo Betty empasized the importance of self - respect, healthy friendships, resisting peer pressure, and seeking guidance from trusted parents, teachers, guardians and healthcare proffessionals whenever they face challenges or have questions about growing up.
Speaking after the session. the school administration expressed appreciation to Musawo Betty Care and research Center for providing accurate, practical and youth - friendly information that helps students make responsible decisions. They noted that such educational programs contribute to creating a safer and healthier school environment.
The students actively participated throughout the session, demonstrating a strong desire to learn more about protecting their health and planning for a brighter future.
