Who we are

Musawo Betty Care and Research Centre is based in Nsangi, Wakiso District, Uganda. If you have any question about this notice or your information, contact us by email at musawobettycenter.ug@gmail.com or by phone or WhatsApp on +256 782 771 133.

What we collect

You can read this website without giving us any personal information. We only collect information you choose to send us:

• The contact form. When you send us a message we store your name, your email address, the subject (if you add one) and your message, so that our staff can read it and reply to you.
• The newsletter. When you subscribe at the bottom of a page, we store your email address so we can send you occasional updates about our work. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in our emails, or by contacting us.

Please don't put detailed medical information in the contact form. If you need confidential advice, call or WhatsApp us and we will talk with you directly.

How we use it

• We use your details only to reply to your message and follow up on what you asked, or to send the newsletter you signed up for.
• Only MBCRC staff who manage the website can see messages and newsletter sign-ups.
• We do not sell your information or share it with anyone for marketing.
• We keep messages only for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, then delete them.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies it needs to work. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

• mbcrc_session keeps the website working while you browse (for example, so a form you fill in is not lost). It expires after two hours.
• XSRF-TOKEN protects our forms against misuse by other websites. It expires after two hours.

Other services

Some pages show videos from YouTube. When you play a video, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies; their use is covered by Google's privacy policy. Links to WhatsApp, Google Maps and social media take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email us at musawobettycenter.ug@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as we can.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
