SHAPING FUTURES: Informed teenagers are empowered teenagers.

At Musawo Betty Care and Research Center in Nsangi, Wakiso District, we are proud to have completed four consecutive one year holiday workshops aimed at empowering teenagers with knowledge and skills in sexual and reproductive health. These workshops, held during school holidays, have become a cornerstone of our mission to shape the futures of young people by equipping them with vital information and life skills.
Over the past sessions, hundreds of teenagers have benefited from these interactive and trans-formative workshops. Here, we reflect on the highlights and impact of these sessions.


Each workshop was designed to address specific aspects of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) that are relevant to teenagers.

Our first workshop on 13/12/2023 aimed at making teenagers understand their bodies and personal hygiene. We received 25 teenagers who became ambassadors to their friends. Focusing on puberty education, menstrual health management, and the basics of sexual and reproductive health, Teens learned about changes in their bodies and how to navigate them confidently and healthily. They clearly understood how to take care of their bodies. Personal Hygiene was demonstrated and they were excited to know more about keeping a clean body. They appreciated that keeping clean makes you fit very well in the society and prevents many diseases.
